*I received this in exchange for an honest review*
At the beginning, I felt this book was too descriptive, too much. "The silent cry rang inside his head as sweat slipped down the groove of his spine like a snake oozing along a vine."
But as the story went on, you find yourself trapped in a heart pounding, exciting tale! I haven't read the first book in this series, but it doesn't matter. You don't feel as if you walked into a series late. These books are stand alone. I loved the characters and their interactions. It felt real, not forced. Things move along at a great pace, leaving you turning page after page until the very end. I look forward to reading more books in this series!
