PIRATE HEIRESS

PIRATE HEIRESS by Chloe Flowers

PIRATE HEIRESS: A Historical, Pirate Romance Saga with Mystery, Intrigue, and a Quest for Hidden Treasure (A Pirates & Petticoats Novel Book 4) by [Flowers, Chloe]

A beautiful pirate, a vengeful sea captain and a secret treasure…will love save them or destroy them?
Reluctant pirate Stevie Savauge is on a quest with her family to find a secret treasure hidden by her great-great-grandparents, the two notorious pirates Anne Bonny and Calico Jack Rackham. When her eight-year-old twin siblings are kidnapped and the ransom demand is a merchant ship called the Seeker, Stevie must find the courage to conquer her fears and fight for those she loves.

Italian-born, French privateer Drago Viteri Gamponetti (Gampo to his men) has coveted the Ahern merchant fleet for years. He knows if he takes one, the others will come to its aid. He sets a trap in Jamaica, determined to capture the fleet.

When Captain Conal O’Brien discovers that the pirates work for his sworn enemy, he doesn’t resist capture. What better way to locate Gampo’s secret stronghold than to sail right into it? But these brigands aren’t who they seem to be, and if Conal’s not careful, he’s going to lose his heart as well as his ship to the woman determined to possess both.
The Pirates & Petticoats Series continues! Pirate Heiress is a high seas, historical, pirate romance filled with action and adventure, mystery and intrigue, and a quest for hidden treasure!

3.0 out of 5 stars it was just, okJanuary 3, 2017
This review is from: PIRATE HEIRESS: A Historical, Pirate Romance Saga with Mystery, Intrigue, and a Quest for Hidden Treasure (A Pirates & Petticoats Novel Book 4) (Kindle Edition)
This low rating does not mean it's an awful book. So please go into reading this review with an open mind. To me, it was just ok Three stars mean, it was just, ok, alright. Nothing fancy or special about it. There was nothing exciting, nothing driving me to turn the page and keep reading. It's your typical, pirate, girl needing help, love story. I hate to use the word cliche, but that's what it was. If you want mindless romance, definitely this is for you. I want something more exciting. I didn't feel the emotions of the characters, I didn't feel them falling in love. It seemed to me, the way Stevie is described, I kept picturing this dirty, unkempt girl and wondering, how can he fall in love with her. The fact that everyone comes out smelling like roses was a big turn off as well. When I read a romance, I want feelings! I want to turn the last page, sigh, and smile, and this story just did not elicit that feeling from me. Maybe if I go back and read book one in the series, but as it is, this one just did nothing for me.
