I typically have loved the books in this series. This one just didn't hit me. It was slow going. I was not a fan of the constant flash backs of the dead husband. I understand he was an intricate part of the story, and he meant a lot to her. I also get that he's why Mary has held back. But, we get hot and steamy and all up into it with Mary and Elliot, and up pops Charles! Not really something that held me like the other stories did. But, I still love this author and will read more as they come out. I did enjoy the fact that the characters are older and mature.
