This was an exciting adventure. I just didn't feel the romance. The scenes felt forced. The whole story gave an interesting perception of Mexico you don't see often. Most people don't realize how poor the country is. To me, it seems the author did a lot of research and it showed in the way things unfolded and were described. It gave me a better connection to the characters. Again, the only reason I didn't give this a higher rating is the love scenes and part of the plot wasn't as smooth as I felt it could have been.
