Texas Outlaws: Jesse (The Texas Outlaws) by Kimberly Raye
This title will be auto-delivered to your Kindle on January 1, 2014.
WANTED: A Red-Hot Rebel
Ever since his father's famous bank robbery years ago, rodeo cowboy Jesse James Chisholm has been the bad boy of Lost Gun, Texas. A rule breaker. A heartbreaker. But he's still haunted by his history, and the only girl who could match his wildness with her own—until she ditched her own bad-girl ways in favour of respectability….
But mayor-elect Gracie Jones isn't quite the upstanding role model she projects. Underneath those conservative skirts and blouses? Very naughty underthings. Jesse's return has stirred not only her long-slumbering wild side, but an insatiable hunger for this rugged, sexy cowboy. And this Texas town is going to see a side of the Wild West they never expected.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Ok. 1st: WHAT WOMAN DOESN'T LOVE CUPCAKES?! Ugh, I started getting annoyed at how many times it was brought up. Then, 2nd: It's called Texas Outlaws. Where's the Outlaw part? Not that Jesse, the rodeo cowboy wasn't hot, but damn it, I was expecting full on bad boy. It was a huge let down. Even the whole straight edge, about to be mayor part of the story was awful. Um, if you worked your butt off to get a job, and you just walk away from it, I doubt the town you love so much, that all voted for you, would just be happy about it. I feel like this story was going all over the place, except where it should have. It wasn't even that sexy, and for a Harlequin, that's sad. I'm not saying this is a horrible book, it was just a huge disappointment.
