Ok, so I found my first New Fave Author of 2014! I haven't read the first book in this series, or anything else by this author yet, but it doesn't matter. This author takes that into account and easily brings the readers up to speed. I think that this is a well thought out, planned and written series. There was twisting in the plot that I have to say, I really didn't see coming. But they were good!
The characters had depth. I found Matt not only sexy and desirable, but intriguing. The man seems to act as if he has no moral code and is focused only on his goal, but as you read, you may think otherwise.
Laney seems the scared, sweet innocent bar owner. Things she does blows even Matt away. Even in the beginning though, you find she has a spine of steel.
This book will take you on an awesome ride, and is certainly worth reading! Now, I'm going to move backwards and grab the first book. Unfortunately the next Gray Brothers book won't be out until May! Trust me, pick this book up, and it's bound to become one of your fave's for the year!
