Sleeping Roses (Dead Roses)

Sleeping Roses (Dead Roses) by RaShelle Workman

Her marriage may be dangerous, but leaving could be deadly.

Sophie married into a lie. Sick of her dangerous marriage, Sophie leaves her husband, determined to start a new life. But her husband isn't going to let her go that easily. If he can't have her, no one can. It's hunter versus hunted.

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This book started out ok. It wasn't blowing me away, but it was a little interesting. A woman leaving an abusive relationship and striking out on her own. Interesting right? The ending was awful! "Her marriage may be dangerous, but leaving could be deadly." This is from the blurb. Ok, sounds good right? Wrong!! The "twist" in the plot is nothing like the blurb and it just wasn't good. The last 30% of the book was something completely different that made me hate it. If the author had stuck with the original story line, it would have been at least 3 or 4 stars. The ending completely ruined it for me. It was cheesy.
