The Wrong Guy

So, I picked up this box set called The Wrong Guy. It no longer seems to be on Amazon. But it's full size novels, not short stories. So here are the individual reviews of the stories! Hope you find something to enjoy!

$2.99 Nook Link

What would you do if the man you loved became one of your greatest enemies? Would your love be enough to save him?

All Bri wanted to do was spend her Friday night with the man she loved and adored. Little did she know leaving her home would result in her relationship with Quinn being tested beyond its limits.

Fae have been organizing to invade Earth, and their devious plans are culminating now, colliding with Bri's very existence. Using a powerful glamour, the Fae trigger each person's violent tendencies, turning the streets into a battleground and strangers against each other. In a crushing blow, Quinn becomes affected and Bri finds herself battling to save her lover from himself as he stalks her relentlessly, taunting her at every turn.

But fighting for her love isn't her only worry. As the battle ensues, Bri discovers a startling truth about her own heritage that she must come to terms with. She has no other choice but to fight, leading her to a confrontation that will change her world forever - and threaten to leave her with broken promises.

I read this as part of The Wrong Guy box set, but it's not listed on amazon anymore. I really got into this story. But in the box set, it seemed to just stop short. I was wanting more, but didn't care for how it ended! I wish the ending had been a little more developed. The plot was interesting, you get a decent history on what's going on. I may read more, not sure.

I read this as part of the Wrong Guy box set, which doesn't seem to be listed on Amazon anymore.. But, I loved this! I don't get into space, sci-fi type of romances, but this book was really good. Yes, some of the names are hard to pronounce! But, it was a really well written story. You could see the planets as they were described, the creatures, these other worlds, they were well written, very planned out. I enjoyed every second of this story!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I read this as part of The Wrong Guy box set, which is no longer listed on Amazon. This was a super sexy, action packed story. I loved the hot and cold attitude that Kyle had towards Christy. He cared, but wanted her safe. How they met was funny and I loved every second of it. This story is powerful, sexy and really good! I will definitely be reading more by this author!

Lucky 13 by Morgan Kearns

$2.99 Amazon
$2.99 Nook Link

Tragedy made it possible for Enrique Santiago to take over as Left Fielder for the Las Vegas Rockets. Talent keeps him there, giving him everything a guy could want. Except a woman to share it with.

A painful past with one very prominent reminder molded Shayne Xavier into the woman she is. She isn’t bitter or jaded, though. She’s a realist. Men can’t be depended upon and only lead to broken promises and shattered hearts.

Unaware of the demons of her past, Ricky tries to offer strength as Shayne’s life spins out of control. Sometimes Happily-Ever-After is too good to be true. Will Shayne and Ricky ever be able to restore the luck of his Lucky 13?

Lucky 13 (Deadlines & Diamonds, #4)Lucky 13 by Morgan Kearns
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I read this book as part of the Wrong Guy box set that is no longer for sale on Amazon. This story started out sweet, endearing. Love the single mom meets strong man story. But, it was so long and drawn out, I got bored. Ricky was sometimes too sweet. For a big strong baseball player, he acted like a chick. I think that Shayne was too indecisive. It just made the story drag. I think it would have been so much better if it were just a short story. I made myself finish it, but it took me forever to get through it! So many times I just wanted to shout... "Get it over with, I know what's going to happen." Even after they get together, the story drags on longer and longer! Ugh, it was never ending.

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I read this as part of the Wrong Guy box set that is no longer listed on Amazon. I have to say, in a book full of adult, sexy romances, this one was very juvenile. The main character was supposed to be extremely intelligent yet acted like a teenager. I didn't find her interesting at all. I caught myself rolling my eyes several times and to make it worse there were two of these stories in the book. I only read this first one.

A Woman of Choice by Kris Tualla

$0.99 Amazon
The Missouri Territory, 1819...
A woman is viciously betrayed and abandoned by her unfaithful husband.

She is rescued by a widower uninterested in love. In desperation, she becomes engaged to his best friend.

One woman, three very different men. Life is about choices.

A Woman of ChoiceA Woman of Choice by Kris Tualla
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I read this story as part of the Wrong Guy box set. It started out interesting, had a good story to it. But then it drags on and on. It's a historical. Back then, if you got knocked up, you got married. The whole part of Nick not wanting to get married was boring. I didn't feel the romance, it felt forced. They had drunken sex (which was not written very well) and then she's knocked up and blah blah blah. The story then drags on the whole 9 months of her pregnancy with so much happening that it seemed like the book would never end. I just could not find anything good after the first 20% of the story.
